Corn Fritters

1 14 oz. can kernel corn
Milk
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 beated egg

Drain corn reserving liquid. Add enough milk to liquid to make 1 cup.
Sift together in medium bowl the dry ingredients.
Combine egg, milk mixture and corn. Add to dry ingredients. Mix til just moistened.
Drop from tablespoon into deep hot fat (375 deg.F.). Fry til golden brown,3 to 4 minutes, turning as needed. drain on paper towels. Serve with warm maple syrup or sweet and sour sauce.
