Cocoa Fudge Brownies


EXTREME STRAWBERRY BROWNIES
I sometimes serve this brownie unfrosted with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

1 1/3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup cocoa powder
2 cups sugar
4 beaten eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup chopped unsalted nuts

Mix flour, baking powder and salt in bowl. Set aside.
Melt butter in large sauce pan, remove from heat.
Stir into melted butter - cocoa, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Blend in dry ingredients then add nuts.
Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 inch. pan.
Bake at 350 deg.F. for 30 to 35 minutes, or til toothpick comes out clean. Set aside to cool.

Optional: Cocoa Frosting


Combine 3 tablespoons melted butter with 1/4 cup cocoa.
Blend in 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and 2 cups of icing sugar til smooth.
