Daffodils

One day while I was walking,
In the sparkling, bright sun,
All of a sudden I was in
A field of Daffodils.
They were the most beautiful daffodils
In the world
I looked at the most graceful Daffodils
And I drew them.
The most soft ones I picked and took home
When they died, that was the end of all my Daffodils
I didn't see a Daffodil
For at least five years
But one day I saw
An enormous field of dancing Daffodils
I thought I was in a field
Of fluttering golden butterflies.
